Setup
Corn Toss is played much like horseshoes with two opposing teams and two players on each team. The game boards are set up facing each other 27 feet apart from the front of each board. Teammates stand opposite each other so there is one person from each team standing at each board. Each team is given four bags of the same color. A coin is flipped to see which team will toss first.
Game Play
The team that wins the coin flip has honors and tosses the first of their four bags. A bag may be tossed from anywhere behind the front of the board. Teams alternate tosses until each player has thrown all four of their bags, this is the end of a round and the score is tabulated.
Scoring
Each bag that goes in the hole is worth three points and each bag that lands and stays on the board is worth one point. Any bag that contacts the ground is not counted. Any bag that is thrown from beyond the front of the board is not counted. Scores cancel each other out each round.
Ex. Red Team makes one bag in the hole (3 points) and two bags on the board (2 points) for a total of 5 points. Black Team lands all four bags on the board for a total of 4 points. The score for this round is 1 point Red Team.
The score is tabulated after each round. The team that scored in the previous round gets honors in the next round. The first team to reach 21 points or more wins the game.
Singles Play
Singles play follows the same rules as standard doubles play. Opponents stand on the same end and toss at the same board. After each round the players retrieve their bags and throw from that board. Scoring is the same as doubles play.
